Spring #2 (2019)
Lane Ruby, Southeastern
(Track):
The junior won the 100-M
at the Southeastern Invite. Ruby’s
winning time was 11.50. Ruby also
won the 200-M with a time of 22.58.
Ruby took second in the Long
Jump as well.


Jarrett Garrison, Adena
(Baseball):
The sophomore tossed
a complete game effort to hand
Westfall its only loss to this point in
the season. Garrison scattered
eight hits against the talented
Westfall lineup while striking out
three.

Bryce McWhorter,
Southeastern (Baseball):
McWhorter threw a complete game
to beat Paint Valley. The SE pitcher
allowed just four hits while striking
out eight PV batters.


Bryce Newland, Paint Valley
(Baseball):
The junior had eight
hits this past week while driving in
11 runs including a grand slam.

Miller’s bat is quickly adding
another weapon to a scary top-
to-bottom Unioto lineup. In the
first week of league play (3-0),
which also included a great
nonleague win, Miller recorded
seven hits including her third
HR of the spring. Miller also
knocked in eight runs while
scoring four more.
Marcy Dudgeon, Westfall
(Softball):
The junior has been
outstanding in the circle during the
start of league play. In Westfall’s
key 2-0 win over Huntington,
Dudgeon record 15 Ks in the
complete game effort.

Jocie Fisher, Unioto (Softball):
Fisher has done it in the circle and
the box this week. After earning the
win over Huntington Monday night,
Fisher hit a GW HR against
Fairfield Union on Tuesday
evening.

Makenna Lovely, Adena (Track):
Lovely cleared 4-8 to win the High
Jump at the Southeastern Invite.

Ison tossed a complete game
in a win over Southeastern
while allowing no earned runs
and just two hits. This was his
second league win of the week
as he threw a complete game
against Piketon four nights
earlier. Ison is also off to a hot
start with the bat as he
recorded six RBI in the three
league wins this week.
