Herbie has been with us from day one (now in 11th year)!
Spring #6 (2019)
Lane Ruby, Southeastern
(Track):
The junior enjoyed a
successful week at the Scioto
Valley Conference Track Meet. He
started the week by winning the
Long Jump in record-breaking
fashion. The record had stood for
30 years, but Ruby’s 22-10.25 was
nearly a foot longer than the
previous mark. Ruby also won the
200 Meter Dash and took second
the 100 Meter Dash.

Chad Ison, Zane Trace
(Baseball):
Ison tossed a no-hitter
in a win over Wheelersburg. Ison
recorded six strikeouts. Offensively,
he also had two hits and knocked in
a run to help his cause.

Dane Miller, Paint Valley
(Baseball):
It was a three-win week
for the Bearcats, and Miller was in
the middle of it all. The junior hit .
667 in the three-game stretch while
scoring four runs and knocking in
six more.

In one of the biggest
postseason upsets in recent
years, McFadden enjoyed an
incredible night in helping Paint
Valley knock off perennial
softball powerhouse
Portsmouth Clay. While
impacting the game defensively
from her catcher position, she
really took the game over with
her bat. On the night, she had
four hits including two doubles
and a homerun. She knocked in
three runs.
The Westfall right-hander
continued to shine on the
mound down the stretch. His
final league performance
proved to be a championship
effort. Blackburn threw a
complete-game giving up four
hits, allowing two earned runs,
and striking out eight Zane
Trace batters. The win gave WF
the outright SVC title.

Paris DeBord, Unioto (Track): The
Unioto rookie enjoyed a great SVC

evening she played a role in winning
four times. She won the 100 Meter
Dash, the 200 Meter Dash, and was
a member of the 4X200 and 4X100
Meter Relay winners.
