GOOD SHOWING FOR UNIOTO AGAINST ELITE FIELD
The girls were sixth out of 25 teams in a super competitive field at Watkins Memorial High School. Kinkela Harkins finished third with
a season best in a race with over 200 people. Alex Evans was the top freshman earning an eighth place finish. Big improvement from
Elena Knipp earning a top 25 finish, and Andrea Alcorn Dominguez pulled a big personal best of 23:29. There were a few personal as
well from first-year runners Elizabeth Dombrowski, Sydney Stevens, Autumn Mohan, and Jackie Baker.

On the boys’ side Unioto had a season best with a sixth-place finish for David Magda (16:51), and a top 25 finish and season best for
Jesse Griesheimer (17:38). Season bests were also earned by Trent Miller, Ethan Dills, Phillip Van Hooser, and Ryan Rawlins.
Unioto was sixth of about 25 teams. Unioto was second among district teams behind state ranked Sheridan.

Middle school boys were led by Aaron Laplante with a 12th-place finish, and Jaden Watkins finished in 25th place. The team finished
fifth.

Middle school girls were led by Tessa Sylvester with a 4th-place finish, and Abbey Mohan finished with a season best time of 13:46 -
good for 14th place.

The Adena volleyball program once won 14 SVC titles in a row. That SVC record was in jeopardy entering this
cross country season as Unioto currently had a streak of 13 straight league titles. Saturday at Southeastern,
the Piketon Redstreaks defeated Unioto behind the individual winner, Seth Farmer.

In girls, Unioto held off Zane Trace. The Lady Shermans were led by individual champion Kela Harkins.
