This weekend for the Unioto Track programs despite the driving rain in Louisville, KY saw a school record set for the 800 meter run
from Abbey Mohan (2:23.50). Alex Evans climbed up the all-time list to #2 in the 3200 meter run with an 11:22. David Magda climbed
to #3 all-time in the 3200 with a big PR of 9:37. Only Galen Dills (9:22) and Adrian Ross (9:29) have been faster. Cole Clever moved
up a bunch of spots on that list all the way to #4 with a 9:40 as well! That run also moves him up to the 2nd sophomore all time
behind Galen Dills who finished 6th in state his sophomore year with a 9:38. Tucker Markko added to his recent streak of PRs with a
10:06 as a freshman. This puts him tied with Dills as a freshman in that event in first all time!
The big points for the day however were earned from senior Cole Cottrill who finished 2nd in the high jump in a loaded field, and
Autumn Mohan who finished 3rd in the discus. The field was a mess with all the rain that effected distances but our athletes came out
Sophomore Jeremy Good who finished 2nd in the 800 open while seeded only 9th with a 2:04, Isaiah West who pulled off another
10:24 PR in the 3200. He is 20 seconds better than his best last year and about 40 seconds better than at this point last year!
Freshman Jaden Watkins set another PR getting under 10:30 for the first time with a 10:29 this puts him well up on the freshman list
as well as actually ahead of where Dills was at this point in the season. Jonah Phillips ran a 4:52 for the full mile which is ranked 3rd
in the SVC for non Unioto runners this season. Right now these seven boys are actually the top seven boys in the 3200 in the SVC
which should give some perspective in the progress they are making.
Monday night at Chillicothe, Cole Cottrill set the school record in the high jump with a jump of 6'71/4". This breaks
the 2005 record of Michael Perri of 6'6". Autumn Mohan added another school record in the discus with a toss of
